If you know me, you know about my love affair with Carbs… so when I saw the Spaghetti Taco concept on the kid’s show iCarly, I like so totally fell in love! If you have kids that watch iCarly, they’ll definitely be familiar with Spencer’s famous Spaghetti Tacos. This is a really easy and fun way to get kids to eat their food groups.
Here’s what I used for my family:
- Hard & soft taco shells
- Vitamin enriched pasta (Ronzoni Smart Taste)
- Lean ground beef
- Diced onions
- Vegetable primavera pasta sauce
- Shredded Italian blend cheese
Let your kids assemble their own tacos and make it more interesting by offering them a variety of cheeses and taco shells. By using enriched pasta and veggie filled tomato sauce, I was able to get the biggest bang per bite for my picky eaters (it’s all about efficiency!).
I have to be honest, I “taste tested” a couple spaghetti tacos and they were delicious! Me being me, I started getting all these ideas on how to glam up my tacos… maybe add some Romain lettuce & Caesar dressing and top with shaved fresh Parmesan cheese? I feel another spaghetti taco night coming on!
I hope you all try these the next time you’re in the mood for spaghetti, and if you do please let me know how you like them!
Now I’ll leave you with some pics of my youngest son enjoying his “bogelli taco”!

My girls love making spaghetti tacos! We’ve had fun experimenting with all different kinds and finally found a favorite — Fried flour tortillas for the shell (sprinkled with a little garlic salt) and crumbled Italian sausage for the meat.
Thank you so much for being a part of “A Little Birdie Told Me…” Tuesday at Rook No. 17!

I’ve been wanting to try these since I first saw Spencer make them. It’s like years later now and I keep forgetting!
You gotta try it & let me know what you think!!
