Pinkalicious Party

By Vanessa on May 31, 11
When Laura’s daughter chose Pinkalicious as her birthday party theme, the girls and I were thrilled to get to work!! Her initial choice was a Barbie themed party, but after reading the popular Pinkalicious book, it wasn’t difficult to pursuade her to change her mind :) Laura, along with the help of little Morgan did a wonderful job putting the details together!

After weeks of planning, printing, punching, gluing, chocolate dipping and baking we present the pinkest dessert table you’ll ever see!!

Party guests filled their own goodie bags with sweets from the table to take home.
These star wand sugar cookies were sprinkled with bright pink sanding sugar to give it a whimsical effect.
…Pink vanilla wafers, pink Whirly Pops, pink chocolate dipped & sprinkled marshmallows…Are you feeling a little pink overload yet?  Wait, there is more!
For her cake, we made a giant cupcake replicating the one from the book that turned the main character PINK ;)
Smaller versions of the cupcakes were also made for the guests to enjoy.  The cupcakes were made with Funfetti cake mix (Laura & Morgan’s favorite) dyed pink.
The entire house was decked out in pink, no space was spared!

All of the party guests were asked to wear pink and boy did they wear pink.    There were bow ties, pink tutus, pink hair spray, pink crackle nail polish, pink hats.. the whole deal! Laura’s friends and family win the award for the coolest party guests, especially the men who went the extra mile ;)

My boys and I had a great time at the party!  Between all of the pink treats they ate and spread on their clothes, just like the girl in the story, they both literally turned pink ;)

Happy 3rd Birthday Morgan, hope you have a wonderful year!!

P.S. I totally heart Link-Up Parties
