Even though the “holidays” are behind us now, I still wanted to share this fun Red & White themed party that my good friend Abby and I put together. There are a lot of great ideas that can be used for a bridal shower or Valentine’s treat. Abby has become quite the party planner and I always have a blast teaming up with her! We wanted to throw a nice dinner party for some friends and decided on Red & White since we both love peppermint. We got together over lunch to do all the planning and Abby took off with it. She did pretty much all the dessert BY HAND and I adore how it all turned out!
These Hot Cocoa Parfaits are probably my favorite of the evening. They are layers of chocolate cake and chocolate mouse. The chocolate mouse is made by mixing a 1 cup of water with 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and instant chocolate pudding. Once the pudding mixture is solid, fold in a tub of Cool Whip. It is to die for!
These Cheesecake Tartlets were made using pre-made shells that Abby picked up from the grocery store. They were filled with no-bake cheesecake filling and topped with fresh raspberries.
Strawberry parfaits use the same cream filling as the Hot Cocoa Parfaits, except we use vanilla pudding. Cream filling is layered with angel food cake and fresh strawberries for the best parfait you’ll ever have… I promise!
Double Stuff Oreos were dipped in white chocolate and topped with crushed candy canes. You can also use Peppermint Oreos when they are in stock over the holidays.
How cute are these Santa hats? Brownie bites are topped with strawberries and piped frosting to create a Santa hat.
You can find the recipe for these Chocolate Peppermint Kiss Cookies in a previous post -> HERE
Beautiful place settings for a party of 10! The napkin rings and ornament name cards were purchased from Pier1.
All the guests went home with a nice favor bag filled with lotion, soap, hand sanitizer and a scented candle.
Planning and setting up the party with Abby was a blast. Nothing beats a night of great food, great company and great laughs!
